• 1 package yeast
• 1 cup warm water
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 1 tbsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp oregano
I used left over green chili that I made (see Recipes section for the recipe!). You can choose to make green chili, or you can buy premade green chili. With the green chili I used, I put into a food processer to make the sauce for the pizza. Once I blended the chili, I strained it so that is wasn't too runny for the crust.
• Green Chili
• Turkey Sandwich Meat
• Cheddar Cheese
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
2. In a mixer, or bowl, add the water, yeast and sugar. Let sit 10 minutes or until it looks "creamy".
3. While waiting for the yeast mixture, combine the flour, garlic powder and oregano.
4. Once the yeast is ready, add the oil and slowly add in the flour mixture to the yeast until all is combined and you have a ball of dough. Let rest for 5 minutes.
5. I divide the dough in half and use 2 pans to bake my pizza on, but you can certainly spread on a cookie sheet for one pizza. Helps to spray your hands with cooking spray to avoid the dough from sticking to your hands.
6. Bake crust for 12 minutes, or until the crust is just cooked.
7. Remove the crust from the oven. Top with the green chili paste, turkey and cheddar cheese.
8. Bake for an additional 8-10 minutes or until toppings are hot and cheese is melted.
Enjoy!
Serve with your favorite toppings such as parmesan cheese!
